Lebron Hendon – CEO
Lebron started working in the construction field full time in 1978. He has practical experience in all phases of concrete, steel buildings, tilt-up concrete buildings, CMU buildings and wood framed construction. Most of Lebron’s experience has been in the commercial and industrial fields.
Lebron worked for a construction company based out of Portland, Oregon and Little Rock, Arkansas from 1988 to 1996. He installed sawmill equipment, concrete foundations and buildings.
By 1996 Lebron joined the family business at Hendon Construction Co, Inc. Lebron started as a supervisor in the field, then gradually evolved into estimating work. By 2002 Lebron was estimating fulltime. His current duties include estimating, customer relations, project management and oversight of supervisors.
Allen Hendon – COO
Allen became a partner with Hendon Construction Co, Inc in 1993. He was tasked with the supervision of crews and project management. His current duties are estimating, supervision of crews and interaction with our customers.
Allen’s construction career started in 1981, working fulltime for Hendon Construction with his father and founder of the company, Clarence Hendon and Grandfather, Franklin Hendon. He learned many facets of the construction trade and the importance of good work ethic and integrity.
From 1986 to 1993 Allen resided in Phoenix, Arizona were he worked in the restaurant and nightclub business. He worked in all areas of the business and eventually into supervisory rolls. By 1988 he had been promoted to a management position where his duties included hiring, training and discharging of employees as well as inventory, cost control and purchasing. Allen learned the many different styles and techniques of Business Management and Accounting.
Carl Hendon – CFO
Carl learned the value of integrity and good work ethic over 35 years ago when his construction career began. He had the good fortune to work full time with his father and the founder of Hendon Construction Co, Inc, Clarence Hendon and Grandfather, Franklin Hendon. He learned many facets of the construction trade since construction has always been the family business.
Carl moved to Phoenix, Arizona from 1982 to 1990, were he found work in the restaurant and nightclub business. In 1985 Carl was promoted to a General Management position where he learned different styles and techniques of Business Management and Accounting. He was instrumental in developing computerized cost controls and accounting systems.
By 1990 Carl moved back to Hermiston, Oregon to become a partner with Hendon Construction Co, Inc. He was tasked with modernization of the company without losing the personal “hands on” approach that had made Hendon Construction successful. His current duties are mostly oversight of financial data and customer relations.
Zeno Marvin – General Manager
Zeno is a graduate of Montana State University, Helena Montana where he graduated with a 2 year Associates degree in Machine Technologies.
In 1982 Zeno moved to Phoenix, Arizona to work with a company where he preformed functions related to tool and die manufacturing in the Aerospace industry. He joined Casa Grande Frito-Lay Inc. in 1984, where he provided supervision in the Engineering and Technical Services department. By 1989 Zeno relocated to Fayetteville, Tennessee to join Anheuser Busch Inc, as a Plant Engineer.
Throughout his career he participated in every facet of the manufacturing business, his broadest experience is food based both as an Engineer Manager and Plant Manager. In 1996 Zeno was offered a position in the Hermiston, Oregon location with Snack Alliance-Shearers Foods Inc. as the Plant Manager. The Hermiston facility grew from a startup venture to a 100 million dollar per year manufacturing facility with over 200 hourly employees and a staff of 30 salary personnel by 2011.
Zeno managed several large construction related projects and his ability to both, manage large groups of personnel while continuing to emphasize the need to meet the customers specific needs brought a unique insight to Hendon Construction Co, Inc.
Zeno joined Hendon Construction Co, Inc in 2012 as the General Manager. His current duties include oversight of all supervisors and staff, project management, estimating and customer relations.
John Niord – Supervising Electrician
John has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. The last 20 years he has specialized in project estimation and management of the electrical and mechanical fields.
He has a proven track record of bringing projects in safely, within budget and with the high quality our customers expect. John is particularly proficient at design build projects.
John has continued his education throughout his career; he has completed the National Electrical Contractor Association for Estimating and Supervisors. John also completed the Small Business Management Program at Blue Mountain Community College, QuickBooks and is a AMP NetConnect Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
Hendon Construction Co. Inc, welcomed John in 2015 as a Managing Partner. His current responsibilities include: Estimating and Project Management, planning strategy, project development, staff management and scheduling.
John is a valuable contribution to the company, his expertise, stability and commitment to the industry and employer in unmatched.
Travis Hemphill – Project Manager
Travis is a graduate of Blue Mountain Community College of Pendleton Oregon where he obtained his Journeyman Certificate for Industrial Refrigeration Mechanic and Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
Travis started his career in 1981 with Universal Frozen Food/Lamb Weston as a Plant Superintendent. During his 31 years with ConAgra/Lamb Weston, he was responsible for coordination and efficient functions of Production, Maintenance/Sanitation/Safety and Raw Procurement. May of 1995, Travis was promoted to Packaging Engineer II; he coordinated of all phases of new capital packaging projects from design to equipment specs and installation. Travis further continued his education and experience with ConAgra Foods from 2001 thru 2012 managing budget of R&M to maintain processing/packaging equipment as a Maintenance Team Leader.
Throughout his career, Travis has been productive in Plant Management, Production, Engineering, Capital Projects, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Budgeting for capital projects and R &M annually.
Before joining Hendon Construction Co, Inc. in 2015 as a Project Manager, he was an Engineering Manager with Shearers Foods for 3 ½ years, in Hermiston Oregon. Travis is a valuable asset to our team. He manages all aspects of assigned construction projects.
Kyle Larson – Safety Officer
Kyle began his career teaching at Borah High School located in Boise Idaho. His personal achievements and past career choices demonstrate the kind of leadership we were seeking.
In 2008, Kyle graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Science from Oregon State University. He is also a 3-time Oregon State Champion, 2-time Pac 10 placer at Oregon State and currently the Head Coach at Hermiston High School in the sport of wrestling; where he is responsible for the safety of all the athletes.
Kyle joined Hendon Construction in August 2016 as our Safety Officer. He was tasked with implementing safety programs, training and working with the supervisors to ensure safety in the workplace. Safety in general is an evolving field that demands continuing education and training. Many of our clients have safety protocols that exceed those of OSHA and Kyle is instrumental in ensuring compliance with the nationally recognized companies such as ISN, Avetta, Global Risk Management and the Association of General Contractors.
Laura Stone – Electrical Estimator
Laura Stone grew up in the Hermiston area. She graduated from Hermiston High School and went on to attend Eastern Oregon University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
She was the Branch Manager at the Hermiston Platt Electric store for two years prior to beginning her career at Hendon Construction Co, Inc.
Laura joined the company in 2008 and is now our Electrical Estimator. Her duties include bidding; planning and managing jobs from start to finish. She takes care of the permits, co-ordinates personnel for jobs, orders parts for upcoming projects, customer relations and invoices for all electrical projects.
Stacey Cameron – Bookkeeper
Stacey is a 1992 graduate of the University of Connecticut, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. After graduating, Stacey moved to Hermiston, Oregon and began her career in the insurance industry. Stacey received her Insurance Agents license September of 1992 and then received her CIC designation (Certified Insurance Counselor) in 1998. Stacey performed dual roles of insurance producer and bookkeeping functions for many years before choosing to pursue only bookkeeping.
Stacey joined Hendon Construction Co, Inc. in February of 2009. She started by doing all payroll functions, accounts receivables, human resources and administrative assistant duties. Currently, Stacey handles all the bookkeeping duties including account payables, taxes and banking. She is the contact person for all the insurance requests and needs for the company. She also oversees the payroll, human resources and all other office functions.
Kari Sidwell – Payroll Accountant
Kari began her accounting career in 2002 with a sales company located in Vancouver, Washington. She managed expense accounts and budgeting, along with administrative functions. Kari moved back to Hermiston, Oregon in late 2009 and in the spring of 2010 decided to continue her education in accounting.
Kari joined Hendon Construction Co, Inc in May of 2011. She performs all payroll functions and manages accounts receivables. She assists with bids, banking, and all other office functions. During her career with Hendon Construction Co, Inc, Kari attended Blue Mountain Community College and graduated with honors in 2012, receiving her Degree in Accounting and in early 2014 she earned her Notarial Commissions for the Secretary of the State of Oregon.
She enjoys the variety of functions associated with Hendon Construction Co, Inc and maintains a positive willingness to learn. She looks forward to the opportunity to assist with the customers, potential customers, and vendors.
