In 1978 Clarence “Tennessee” Hendon left his longtime employer to venture out on his own starting with small projects and maintenance type work. In 1983 Olen Hendon joined Clarence and Hendon Construction was formed. The target business was the manufacturing and food processing industries. Carl and Leonard Hendon joined the company in 1990 to expand operations and capabilities, Carl was to help “modernize” the office and accounting procedures while Leonard brought a wealth of experience. Allen and Lebron Hendon joined in 1991 to provide leadership in the field and assist in training.
Ronald “Ronnie” Hendon officially joined in 1993, prior to this had been working during Hendon Constructions busy season while living in Tennessee since the early 80’s. Doug Wagner joined as a Managing Partner in 2002, to add electrical work to the capabilities of the business. In 2012 Zeno Marvin was hired as the General Manager, his unique insight into food processing and skill in managing a large workforce has been instrumental for Hendon Construction to take the next step in our ever-evolving company.
Stacey Cameron, Bookkeeper and Kari Sidwell, Payroll were hired in 2009 and 2011 respectively. All accounting and payroll are done in house in order to give us the most up to date financial data for job costing and estimating. Kyle Larson was hired in 2015 as our Safety Officer to insure compliance in the constantly changing landscape of safety and training.
Hendon Electric was formed in December of 2002. Our goal was to provide full service electrical company while targeting large commercial, industrial and agricultural projects. We have the manpower and supervision to undertake large industrial projects while maintaining personnel for smaller maintenance projects. We are trained and qualified with Allen Bradley, Siemens and direct logic control systems for all phases of P.L.C. work.
Doug Wagner has lived and worked in the Hermiston area for over 35 years. His contacts in the industry as well as his experience as an estimator and project manager lend instant credibility to this venture.
Laura Stone was hired in 2008, her background in business and experience at Platt Electric made her a prime candidate as an estimator and manager. In 2015 John Niord became a supervising electrician and Laura Stone became a managing partner with Hendon Electric.
